Fishing and more

The kids had fun fishing with Grammie

Then the kids had a special treat of being at G & G's alone while we escaped to NYC for the night. We had a slightly scary experience as we were in Times Square from about 5:30-7pm on Saturday night, and our hotel was less than two blocks from where the car bomb was. We had dinner at our hotel, so didn't get held at the end of the street until 3am, as other visitors did. We are feeling very fortunate, on many levels.

Saturday afternoon we went to see an opera

And got to see Alicia and Jason on Sunday!

The kids helped in the garden

Played in the pool

And went hiking at the Nature Center

They're all hiding inside a tree

And last, but certainly not least, we ALL enjoyed Grammie's strawberry rhubarb pie, yum!!!!
