Washington Monument and Out of Many, One

We were so excited to go to the top of the Washington Monument! It was the first time for the kids and me, and Gerald hadn't been since middle school. The kids were excited to get up close, as they see it from afar often.
 Woh - 555 ft high

We went to see this portrait on the Mall, Out of Many, One.
 A pretty incredible view!

We think Seraphina has some of Theirs namesake's genes, and They was a bit nervous about looking out the windows...
Looking north towards the White House
Towards the Potomac and Jefferson Memorial
We thought these trees shedding their leaves were so beautiful!

G tried to get the kids to show happy and bored faces...

Afterwards, we walked over to the portrait to check it out up close

The kids really liked seeing the sand, mulch and stone and trying to figure out the different features of the face. They were excited to find the eye!
