We've had many adventures this past week! One day, we spent a few hours at this spray park, taking breaks for lunch and playing on the playground, followed by water ice (Mama is so happy about the new Rita's in the hood!). The kids loved waiting under the buckets until they poured out on their heads
Water, water and more water!
We had a fun few hours at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. It's usually really hot this time of year, but we had a few 80 degree days, so we were able to enjoy ourselves outside. The highlight for the kids was watching the Danza del Bixom Tíiw ceremony - four men climb this pole and then "fly" down upside down! It took a lot of patience to watch the whole ceremony, but we were all glad we did! (The link has a cool video of the whole thing.)
The kids also enjoyed having their names written in Punjabi and trying on some traditional clothing.
