4th of July weekend

Gerald and Fitz worked on putting up a log as a flagpole in the corner of the yard on the 4th
We were so excited for our friends to visit - the kids waited and watched at the window
Riley June, only 4 weeks old, came to visit!
They were so excited to see them again!
We spent hours outside, Amanda and Cable put the canoe in the lake
while Ryan did races across the water with the kids!
Seraphina and Cable gave each other knuckle sandwiches...
We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows!
We headed to the estuary to crab
And the kiddos caught lots of little frogs
One of the favorite places in the house is the "library."  The kids like to check out books and create library cards for everyone who comes into the house...Cable requested a book on sports- so the kids wrote one!

The signal flags in order from the top are M (Morrissey), F, K, G, S and C!
Gerald and I took a crew in the canoe to the estuary
This is what it would look like if we had six kids!
We met a guy who catches water snakes - yikes!
Cardin was looking for crabs, not snakes.
Celina and Liam love splashing in the calm water
Cecelia really enjoys holding Riley

Cecelia, Cardin and Seraphina made a pyramid!
Fitz sailed with Gerald to the estuary
Seraphina and Cannon dragged the kayak all the way over the lake on their own, and then paddled around.
Fiona and I made a huge sand town - complete with school, library and ice cream store!
There's a bird's nest in the rafters above the porch - we could see the Mama bird feeding them babies!
Sunday, we set up the slack line and we all tried balancing

Liam gives some love to Theirs baby sis

It was a super fun filled long weekend with our friends!!
