Digging a river...

We had a few really rainy days...so we made lemon playdoh!

The kids asked me to take their picture and send it to the newspaper.... 

After the rain stopped, we found mud puddles! Happy, happy kids!!

The next morning we had some early morning reading time on the deck

And bird watching

The kids went to the beach to dig a ditch between the lake and the bay

It kept getting bigger, and bigger, and faster!

You can see in these two videos how fast the kids got going on their boogie boards!

This is the view from the house - you can see the water gushing into the Bay, and the outline of the impact in the water...

We caught all these crabs as they floated out of the lake

Dave and Daphne helped us dig, catch and measure to make sure our crabs were over 5"

Then we had a crab feast!

Dave, Fitz and Gerald went sailing

While we buried Seraphina and Cecelia in the sand

Cecelia liked the less raging river the next day
